i do alot of oil changes on this car and one of the most common problem is the diff sweating. It also starts burning oil right out of the factory. usually customers come in for top ups after 3000

OK, lets touch on this braking feat with the 300C again..

Motor Trend states that the 300C 60-0 is 122ft...a 545i is 121ft... So If your going to kill the 300, were right behind him by 1 foot.. ohh and just on that note, the STS is 113ft.

At least there's some of you not talking out of your 'a**'

I won't even justify some of the responses here with a reply.

Funny how everyone here has an opinion on a car they've never owned, let alone driven.

I've owned a Magnum R/T for over a year now.

For the money and for what it was designed to do, it's one of the best car's I've owned.

Find the Break statements odd too.
The 300 I had as a rental had a perfectly normal break feel, and stopped fine even with the 3 other guys each weighing around the 250 lbs mark plus all our gear in the trunk.

I had a rental for a week. Makes you feel you part of the mafia when you drive one. Drove it to Montreal it was comfortable as hell. Nice inside but the mechanical failures I did not know about

i must admit, after having a grand prix for a day and putting around in it, the new american vehicles are starting to impress me with the leaps and bounds that they are making in terms of overall quality and design. i mean look back even a couple of years ago to the cars then and then look at the cars now, a big change.. also i really don't think you can compare a 300c to a 5er, yes they are similar size but it's like compareing apples and oranges, maybe some day soon they will be able to compete but for now, you really have to look at the fact that american vehicles give you really the best bang for the buck, and that is what they are about, i mean sure they could make the cars rediculously over engineered but then you would end up paying $60-$70grand for a 300c, then they would really be out of business. they fill a void in the market for the vast majority of people who want a simple easy to maintain vehicle that goes from a to b and gets you there comfortably and with a smile on your face whenever you put the pedal down.... btw i've always liked the 300c/charger/magnum styling. looks hawt

sean I was not necessarly comparing the cars spec for spec..
I was comparing them in weight and engine size

But like you said.. the 545 is a 60-70k car.. the 300C is around 50.
AND the 300 takes 1 foot longer to stop.

Point made

I've noticed quite a number of 300c's with burnt out HID bulbs already. D2S/D2R bulbs are supposed to last at least 4 or 5 years under regular conditions before burning out, so why they are prematurely failing on these cars makes me question the quality of the rest of the vehicle
