I have a 94 325i with intake/chip/exhaust in all the races I had a passenger.

He sold the car before i got my 325 and picked up an AUDI A4 1.8t which is ASS SLOW!

My 325 did a 15.2 stock 1/4 mile, so i'm pretty sure my buddies vr woulda gotten taken care of!

i dunno about that one... but yeah.. i'm not arguing.. i love Bimmers... they were my first passion.. and continue to be my passion.

my VR is an amazingly fun car to drive, and with the mods I have i have some pep to it.. I have fun with 328's all the time

Well when i was in my prime, and my car was chipped, i use to pull on 328's as well..... (my car had more power cause it was chipped, and came with a 3.15 diff, whereas the 328's came with the 2.92!)

vr

All depends on what RP the vr has, if its a hwy pull a stock mark3 vr (3.38RP) will hold its own against most cars in its class when i had that gear 245kph was easily achievable, but if the vr is using the 3.67RP ( found in corrado's Vr6 as well as g60) from a dig the vr is awesome, this is coming first hand from some1 who has had both, i now have the 3.67RP and it is alot of fun, 70kph in 5th gear at 2K, gets kind of droney on the hwy and it makes you want to just pull down and wish you had a 6th gear, but for city driving it is such a blast to drive. The awesome low end grunt of a Vr coupled with a nice 3.67RP make it pretty fun outta the hole so i would think with that gear and some other bolt ons anything up to a 330 would be a hands down win for the vr.

Not biased, but I agree with these guys. VR's don't own all. My 850 Turbo can mop the floor with my Jetta. A 320i will be beat handily by a VR6. VR6 isn't threatened by any 3-series below a 325i I believe. Unless of course the baby Bimmer is modded. Oh well.

i have raced a couple of vr6s on the highway and have pretty much always won. As soon as we get to around 200 i pull right away until i can't see them in the rear view mirror anymore hehehe

i have a 1990 325is

haven't raced one from the line yet. I'd like to see how i would fair against a vr6 off the line.

It's simple power/weight/drag.

The VR6 Dubs are close enough to all 325i/iS cars that it all comes down to the driver, and/or mods down to the cars.

I've beaten bone stock MK3 GTi's with just a chip, and I've lost to more heavily modded MK3 GLX's...badly.
