Updates on my E30...

Almost done installing....

New disks, pads, sensors (all four corners)
Rear subframe bushings
Timing belt
Water pump
Tensioner pully
Intake boot
Power steering pump
OEM ellipsoid head lights (soon with xenon lights from X5)

Still on my list is....

I'm thinking Koni SA's and GC coilovers.... but it IS a cab.. And won't be a race car anytime soon... I'm not fooling myself

Rear softtop window
Wheels
Tires
Exaust (I've got a OEM exaust I can use, brand new... but I'm still weighing my options...)

Thats really it for now.. She's starting to look like a car!! And the best news is... NO rust.. just some surface rust about the size of a toothpick, around the licencing plate lights

My camera is sitting with my car keys, I'll get some pics tomorrow... Although it doesn't look like much, it's still jacked up, and gutted (in the rear)

Good stuff! Pics or ban!

How hard was it to put the X5 projectors in? I've tried to fit E55's from 2005 maxima in, but it'd require quite a bit of dremelling and filling, and dremelling again...

Do you have any pics of your ellipsoids (out of the car, so we can see how you shoved the projectors in)?

Good stuff on the car, you should come out on track in the summer.
Also, post pics

Thanks
Alex

It's hard. I didn't have the special tool at work (bmw dealership too But, no one gets the subframe bushings done here.. too expensive.. so we never noticed the tool was missing... anyways, it's hard, I heated the ****ers up (oxyacetylene) and pulled them out. Not the best way, but it worked.

may i suggest a quicker steering rack?

e30 racks are sloooooow

i am putting in a e36m3 one. But any e36 325i or 328i racks will be worlds quicker than e30
