Vette - Unless its an S, or R, I find all Audi's are slow because of the AWD.

Audi

New cars > old cars

Stock old stock Vettes don't have that much power- unless it's the ZR1 or something.

Audi....

The new A8 is just about comparable to a C5.....not off the line, but in a straight rolling run.

... wrong

we raced this Audi just the other day. very clean race. beat it both times. from a stop, and from a roll. the Audi driver was a good sport too, he gave us big props.

proprone FOR TEH WIN! its a simple calculation of power:weight. the vette is considerably lighter.

and for those of you who say they old vette's arent fast... i challenge you to hop in to one.

The old c4 vette's really are not fast. They are Quick cars with some balls in stock form. I wouldn't use the word Fast though.

actually, yes

it is completely stock. in fact, it hasn't even been tuned up recently.

AND it has the 4+3 tranny, not the 5-spd on the later model C4's.
