New Toy...

Unfortunately it is not mine . Dad just picked up 1998 S70 to replace the older and tired 1994 940(which I will use as a DD b/c it's MUCH better on gas than the Jeep ).
Anyway I went to run around today(get all fluids changed etc), and get it certified/emissioned and snapped some quick quick pics(it is really dirrty, will get waxed/washed soon).
ANyway on to the pics. Fully loaded, with the sport alcantra/leather interior.
Best part about the car:

240 HP, 235 Trq High Pressure Intercooled Turbo mated to a 2.4L 5cyl 20V DOHC engine.
0-60 mph 6.0 seconds. (only 0.3 seconds slower than a e36 M3 with manual)
1/4 Mile 14.7 seconds (only 0.4 seconds slower than a e36 M3 with manual)
It comes with the Sport Tranny(3 different options)Sports suspension(1-2Lower than stock), spoiler, Turbo Rims, Fogs(front/Rear).

Anyways, not too many Volvo fans onto here, but the car is damn quick, and damn fun to drive when the Traction control is disabled. Thought I'd share.

My dad will not only kill me, but throw my body onto the road so it continuosly gets run over. He is in love with this car, and so am I.
WHen that Turbo kicks in at about 2300-2500 RPM, the thing takes off like a mad man.
Now I will try to convince him it needs power mods. We will see.
As far as appearance, it's got almost everything, the rims are gonna be painted gunmetal tho.

Nice ride Terry.

Anyhow, Autotechnica's 850 Turbo pulls pretty well. We did several highway pulls and he always beat my stock 850 Turbo. He's using an Upsolute ECU and soon will acquire a downpipe and exhaust. It may not feel as great as driving a BMW, but it's still a solid and safe car.

Just think what would happen if you roll over in a Volvo. It would roll like a cardboard boxing rolling over
