Mag-numb vs Caravan
See what I've been reduced to??
I was out with a buddy from work today and we met to car pool. He's been lauging at my decision to go with the 2.7l Magnum instead of the 3.5l Caravan for a company car, citing the extra cargo area, roof rack -blah blah blah - more power and acceleration to boot. Well, I told him that I refuse to have 2 minivans, since I already have the holy grail of Minivans (Odyssey). Anyway, we got our chance to go at it after he dropped me off this aft.
He left first, but I spotted him as he was entering the ramp to the 404 N from Steeles E/B. I reeled him in on the ramp - Caravan handling is much worse than the Magnum. I'm sure he saw my grin in his mirror as I was "all over his a$$"...hee hee. I already had it in second gear when the Caravan went WOT. He immediately pulled 1.5 carlengths as I had the pedal matted - did not look good. Our 2 snails merged into the traffic cleanly and an open left and center lane were presented to us. It felt like a bit of a struggle, but the Magnum did manage to catch the Caravan and put it to shame as it semi-sailed past.....Sucka!!!

It'll be for sale someday... I tried to sell it before xmas and got some lowball offers. And them this Magnum didn't seem like it was going to arrive anytime soon, so I stopped. I think I might try ebay later when the weather is warmer.

Well, I don't need 3 cars and my wife won't give up her Honda van. The 540 would hardly be driven, so I'm going to sell it and invest the money. I was going to ask 12,000 or BO. It's got 260,000km and in very good condition.
