as far as i understand these are amongst the best in aftermarket.

better than that are ZKW, which are OEM... and ALOT more expensive. not worth it, in my opinion.

i think i'll be getting those ones too, by the way. although i found a guy that has a slightly better deal than that on eBay. this guy pre-installs the angel eyes in the DEPO headlights, and included the plug-and-play wiring harness: LINK. $295 US with shipping.

I went for zkw's;
A big reason why is that the glass is replacable and seperates from the unit, and if the glas gets broken, a replacment can be bought for something like 60 bux!

I am very happy w/ my zkw's but i have not had the opourtunity to compare them w/ DEPO

I'm not a fan of angel eyes though myself

edit: pictures are to old, stock headlights in my sig...

I have ZKW's on my car personally.. but if I could do it over again, I'd go with Depo and just save the extra cash for something more important, like bills and investments. Or even HID's. The difference in quality isn't by leaps and bounds. The Depo uses plastics inside, including the reflector is plastic with imperfections in it, compared to the chromey inside the ZKW's which cause better light distribution. But there are e36 headlights that are made much cheaper such as Hella, Bosch, FK Auto, and DJ Auto. Depo's are a rip-off of the ZKW styling, and they do cut corners to make it less expensive to manufacture and sell. You'll see the difference if you dismantle them both side by side. But DEPO did not cheap-out on the electrical, or exterior housing. In the end, it really does depend more on your budget than anything else.

Are the lights identical in both? Because for some reason, to me the first ones look cheaper (quality wise):

The first ones are made by FK Automotive.
The second ones are made by DEPO.

Installing a set of headlights are not hard. There are 3 screws on top and 2 screws on the bottom sides. To get a better access to the bottom screws, remove the corner lights. Also After you put the lights in, you have to align the headlights(not the beam patter, actuall headlight) with nose panel by turning the inner plastic screws(octagon shape plastic screws that you screw in the screws to).

Also, to install the angel eyes, you have to dismentle the headlight housings.
Its little more complicated but still doable.

Personally, I would get the angel eyes if it came installed, but in my case, it wasnt, so I didnt wanted to go through the hassle of taking out.
