Thats a dumb comment for two reasons:

1. You are comparing two different modifications...One for performance/looks, another for audio...
2. The price of these is totally different considering he bought the subs for pretty cheap, and got the amp for free luckily...

its kinda like saying , 325 > cheerokee...
its mixing apples and oranges.

Modifications are modifications just the same at the end of the day. My point was that coil over are better to be spent on IMO, than subs. I understand that the subs might be cheaper etc, but he could have saved that money and added onto it, and bought coil overs which would have done more for the car than subs. That's just my opinion tho.

The coilovers cost over 1000, I got the subs for 120 including box, the amp and most of the wiring for free I just had to get one wire for 30 bucks. So I only spent 150 on the whole setup. I also paid 200 for the deck, but I made 100 of that back from selling the deck that came with the car..

And I think it would be pretty stupid for me to get coilovers for this right away... I mean it's my first car, first car I drove manual on and first sporty car I own.... so the stock springs are fine as I haven't even learned to drive it well at the limits yet. My goal is to actually learn to drive it so that once the stock suspension is holding me back from progress I'll upgrade (and I don't think that will happen for a year or so). I think this is much better than just putting coilovers on it now..

I'll also agree with the last 2 guys that music is important!

No you can't price difference is substantial.

4000 VS 20 000.
250 VS 1000 Much lower difference.
W/e man, as long as he is happy it's all good. I like music but don't need heart thumping BASS so a few nice speakers, a nice deck, and I am happy.
Cheers

haha, the kid actually made the best point he could have. I didn't see that coming.

Also, Terry, I distinctly remember your sound upgrades being some of the very first done to the car, long before any suspension work. And in fact when you did do suspension work, you threw on ghetto-slam springs and left the shocks stock, essentially making the handling much worse.

Not picking a fight, just pointing out your hypocrisy.

A deck and speakers I alredy had, put into a new car is NOT the same as going out to buy the stuff.

Regardless if I did it right/wrong I went after appearence first (note no one is talking about performance here, don't branch off.) We are strictly talking Audio VS Appearence. IMO (like already stated) a lowered car is better than a fully stock car with a decent audio setup. Like I said, if he doesn't feel comfortible with appearence mods yet, than that's fine. Everyone has their opinion. IMO, slammed car>4X4 car w/ Audio stuff.

But, that's your opinion. If you were arguing function is more useful than form you'd have some sort of credit, but you're just spitting off your personal opinion. I mean there's a reason we all mod our cars differently.

BTW, for girls slammed car < 4x4 car with a system.
