I can get my hand on a 04 330 motor with 10k on it if you guys are interested ..
If I may ask, what does a 330 motor usually sell for with 10K? Every since I came back to this forum, I'm seeing a lot of threads about 320i owners like myself swapping engines, and its making me think expensive thoughts.

i just feel that starting on a 330 motor has way more potentional, i mean imagine that supercharger on the 330, i can get way more horses, so investing money in a 330 is more logical.

But meanwhile if u do work on ur 320 and lightly modify the engine, its pretty good for a 2.2, u'll get satisfied, just not that fast tho ...
i'v been driving on a 320 for about 2 years now, so i think its time to go up a notch.
Very true, plus some parts in the 330i engine are forged where the 325 and 320 arn't so it can handle a lot more power too

whats up guys, while doing some research on what engine to swap in, came across the e36 m3 (98-99). I personally dont really like the idea of putting an e36 motor in my e46, it just doesnt sound right, but then again it will give me more power for less money (comparing to 330i motor). i'd like to hear some comments/suggestions from some people, thanx guys.
