That's one major mod that everyone missed...roll cage, X-brace etc...and brakes, as well as tranny.

Agree 100%, I dont mind an motor swap but man it HAS TO BE ALL BMW before I can be proud of it.

I spoke to the owner of the Orange LS1 M3 last year at a car show, i think he said you need the following major things for the swap.

custom engine and g/box mounts
custom headers and exhaust
bigger radiator
He used a stand alone ECU but i think the stock one should work well as you can reflash to them suit new mods i think ?
custom prop
(plus some other things that i've not remembered)

I think he said with the custom headers/exhaust and a remap he got about 380 bhp ?

I've been reading LSTech.com(?) and it appears that the LS1/2/6 responds well with some bolt on mods like headers/exhaust/intake/TB/retune.

Theres also such a big market to chose from if you want a pair of flowed heads and lots of cam choices.

I'd love to do this swap to mine but it works out to be to expensive for me at the moment, may be next year.
