the purest martial arts is Thai boxing..bascially anything goes without the wrestling crap that does on with the ultimate fighting series..submission holds is not martial arts......Thai boxers are the ultimate fighting machines, put them in the ring with any martial art forms and they will win, they will kick any regular boxers asses...

Obviously they will kick any regular boxers ass, they will not kick any MMA's ass just like that. Thai Boxing is amazing yes, but its not solely the best in the world. There are alot of other martial artists that will kill the thai boxer.

I dont think so..put anyone in his weight group and he will win...hes in the top 3 in his weight class...bascially he won %85 of his fights on KO's..I been to a few non sanction Thai matches and those guys are vicious..Thai fighters on per weight fighting scale are amazing.

hes amazing yes, but take him to the ground and hes finished. Submissions arent real martial arts??? Buddy, the whole point of tapping out in a submission is so they dont actually kill or maim the opponent in the match. Those moves are really meant to break bones/hyperextend joints, ultimately making the opponent unable to continue fighting. What good is a fighter who just had both of his arms broken?

Exactly, u can put him against a fighter like Mat hughs as an example and that will be a definate fight to watch.
I think that matt has a HELL of chance of Winning the fight by submission and after all the grappling even a chance to knock him out.
Dont get me wrong, he is very good, although stand up fighting isnt all there is to fighting!

put a thai boxer against royce gracie in his prime. i'm not saying gracie will win, but the thai boxer won't easily win (if he does at all)
