Also if your going to be downloading from public servers in Newzbin, your definatly not going to hit those speeds... half that maybe.. maybe even less. As the person your downloading from won't want you stealing all their bandwidth just so you can download a movie in an hour.

clearly shows you dont know what you are talking about.

You are not downloading from a person. You are downloading from a server. When Rogers used to have newsgroup servers you could've easily hit 600kb/s

And you can clearly see he is downloading from Giganews which is a pay service

Take your head outa your ass for just two seconds cowboy.

I do believe I refered to them as servers.. not people... and one person can own a server to which you would dowload your files to.. and share that server.. which by the way your able to put a cap on if you plan on sharing your servers ip address for others to use.

Koncise seeing as how youre the only one on Rogers Extreme that actually seems to download stuff - well that and myself - are your torrents actually not working?

For some reason of all the people complaining about being limited on Torrents mine seems to work fine and pretty fast - if there are enough seeds.... And also I never got a warning or a letter or anything of that sort pertaining to me going over the limit, and Ive gone over 5 times since they imposed this cap.

well for the last few weeks they were going at like 1-3 kb/s with bitcomet... then i read somewhere that using the newest version of azures can fix the problem with rogers, so i tried it.. and i d/led a file at about 30 kb/s... (it was pretty poorly seeded).. but then the next day i tried a popular file just to see if it was really fixed (it was an episode of Lost that had TONS of seeds/peers.. over 1000/5000 or soemthing)... but nothing, back to 1-3 kb/s... so i dunno anymore

i also read that "certain areas" are being throttled, maybe yer not in one of those areas

I have Rogers Extreme as well, I don't find much difference using Bitcomet, Bitlord or Azures, but I the speed varies from 1-3kb/s to 45kb/s, but one thing I notice is right now I'm using a Linksys router it's slower for some reason, I tried a D-Link router & the speed went up to 30-65kb/s I don't know why, can someone please explain

lol sadly you guys are wrong Bell> rogers, they are already starting to roll out the 12+mb modems i have 2 on my truck, bell has the capability of speeds way beyond rogers (trust me ive seen 40mb), they are a constant speed, there is no cap.. what else do you want ?

i tried sympatico a while back.. it was wayyyy slower than rogers for me... i must be too far from the central server thing or whatever, but trust me, in my area, there is no comparison... rogers > bell
