Question E34 side mirror swap?

i'm the freakin' new guy!... i own a 1993 525i... will e36 or any other model side mirrors fit on my car... i'm not really interested in modifying them, i'm looking for direct bolt-ons with a different appearance... the wiring harnesses doesn't necessarily have to match up... any help is much appreciated... thanx.

not sure why you would want to put an uglier mirror on your car, but I don't believe the brackets are the same.

If you are thinking about putting E36 M3 mirrors, BMW actually did make an M3 style mirror for the E34.

gamite, i see the mirrors on your car are almost molded into the window... one of mine is like that, but the other is the type that has an arm that comes out & the mirror is on a sort of pedistal (one of them was replaced before i got it)... i like the pedistal mount better... what years, models came with the different mirrors?

I believe the pidistal mounted ones you speak off came out in 93. They should be fairly easy to find.

Personally I like the older style ones better.
