S60R Vs E46M3 on 401 going West tonight.

Hey.. my buddy with a 2006 S60R was Racing a M3 coupe carbon black or Grey with Huge double exhausts that are roundish... really loud. The R passed him we hit speeds of 240 kmh..I begged him to let off. Anyways after you flew by must have been going 260 ish... car sounds awesome!! He just added some mods to his car he just wanted to keep up with you foget pass you. Not sure if u let off at one point in any case it was dead even from 120-200 kmh..

His mods are a chip , downpipe and exhaust.. he said that's good for 360-375 hp he got it dynod on dyno jet dyno 311 whp/328 t/q but the R is a heavy PIG and weighs 3600lbs.. anyways if your here that was crazy!!

The S60R is a wonderful car...nice styling, incredible seats, and some useful power.
I also love the suspension adjustment feature with a touch of a button.

Here's what we did to the Boss' car.
Our body kit, custom dual exhaust, and a custom front lower inlet surround.
Now this is one hawt Volvo!

They look hot...but I remember trying the shifter on one at the detroit show...the gates are too close, especially between 3rd and 5th...it ticked me off such a nice looking car but ruined by a crap shifter (which also looks good).

The S60R revolutionized Volvo's image. People are finally looking at Volvo and not thinking a safe slow car driven by a older guy with 3 kids and a dog. I love the new S60R(and the old R's as well).
The one that was posted looks ****ing sweet too.

as of now, the meet consists of me and NickP during odd hours at odd places. All gay jokes aside.

we don't have meets that much, none in winter, but we have Canadian Volvo Club show every month from May - August. in May there's one in Waterdown, there should be a new one made for June, in last sunday of July there's London (Idlerton) show, which is the biggest, usually 300+ cars, then there's Pickering in August.

going to try to organize some more this year as far as meet goes, I know a lot of Volvo guys in GTA don't go online, so that's a bummer, may be we can start hi-jacking maxbimmer meets?

btw, that R is automatic if my memory recalls correctly, I saw that car on EST's monthly feature site, I'd lower that bitch asap, S60R's stock height is good for Paris-Darkar. And that slow Volvo image is only conceived by few, like in Britain, here. Volvo's 240 Grp A cars beat the crap out of the 635csi in Group A racing, they did fairly well in the Montel Carlo rally in the 60s with their PV544, they raced in SCCA Tran AM in the 70's with their 122 and 144s. My car almost stock ran 14.6 and its a 91.

just something useless for me to type.
