Any suggestions or recommendations regarding the 745i?

Thanks!

Both those years have many cons. Many electrical issues. Check the forums here or on bimmerforums.com which has a ton more info on these issues.
I would go straight to a 750i or 750Li instead of the 745 all together

If you have your heart set on a 2003 or 2004 745i just make sure you get a warranty with it. If the place your buying from doesn't offer a warranty there are some companies that you can just buy a warranty for your car for a piece of mind, in which I would recommend if your going with those years as noted before the electrical issues were quite a bit on those cars.

Pros, you can afford a 2003, con, you cant afford to fix the 2003 that WILL have issues and bills in the thousands.
If you are aiming at a particular year because its all the money you have, it isnt a good idea when you will have to park it when it breaks. jmo

Don't buy it. You will pay a lot for repairs.
Find a maintained E38 and go with That

Are there any known issues? And what starting what year were the issues fixed? Recalls?
And what's the difference between the i and iL or Li ??

The E38's don't have many, if any, electrical problems like the newer E65's have....

Is there a later year after which the issues were taken care of?
2006+ or something?
