hehe, well I personally don't use internet popularity as a barometre of me real life. Who am I to judge, this twink's entire life revolves around trolling message boards, I actually feel bad now. Like beating up a handicapped, but worse.

This is definately why Bikes are more dangerous then Cars and you have to be aware at all times. You can see the rider has 4-5 seconds exactly to make a decision. Most people who ride and have been correctly trained would know in a situation like that you need to use gas more then brake and swerve. However it's hard to tell what you would do just looking at a video intill you are put into that position. Some thing's the rider is actually doing wrong is riding in the center of the lane (oil and debris builds up preventing good acceleration and braking) you can actually here the rider lock the brakes up. Riding in the middle lane (makes you more vulnerable to traffic). These are common things taught riding schools.

In the end a lesson learned for everyone and I hope the Rider is alright. vehicles can be fixed peoples lives can't.

The Car is at fault no question.

The bike is allowed to be anywhere in the lane and in any lane.

The rider could have definitely swerved if another car wasn't in that lane.
In fact- it's in a way a good thing the rider hit the car- if she were to swerve, miss the Civic and then spill- the Civic driver 100% would have driven off, and the woman would have had to pay for her own damages and get a ticket for having a 1 car accident.

Girls, riding leathers and bikes=damn sexy..IMHO...the video already supported my belief that Civic rice burnners are gods why to punish regular drivers for their sins....

Clearly the fault of the car, but makes no sense, he slams on the breaks and there was a good 70 ft before the other car, hard to judge in the video, but looks like he was going a little too fast and mis-judge how far away he really was, as you can hear in the video the guy says "I thought I was going to hit the other car and swerved."

Yes correct however anyone who rides knows that the slickest part of any lane is the center. Oil and debris builds up in this area and makes it harder to take evasive action to avoid a collision.

At least shes not dead.

I doubt that if she was to the right of the centre lane it would have made a difference in her break time.
And if you notice when she breaks she went Diagnoally across from centre to the right part which = greatest ammount of breaking distance then going in a striaght line. There was just not enough time.
