325is vs 328is
I personally thought a 328is would hands down beat the 325is..based on the power ratings ( 328 has more torque) etc....But I have heard that the 325is might actually win..
Can someone clear this up..Also...is the prefacelifted 325(92-94 I think) just as fast as the facelift (95-up I think)...
Let me know thanks guys

The 328 is a good bit faster, yes. The 325 will not win.
There was no facelift in 1995, all 325 models essentially looked the same. The minor facelift was in 1996 with the intro of the OBDII engines,

95 and 96 look the same, in 97 there was a facelift. And I think he means bumper facelift that happened in 94

In terms of facelift I was refering to engines...Sorry for the confusion...I guess what I was trying to say is non vanos....and vanos..I was'nt sure of the years they switched... I looked into it and I beleive 92 was the only year with non vanos..I would assume non-vanos is slower then vanos correct?

m52 vs m50
Stock for stock. All things equal. 328 wins
But as we all know.....anything can happen on the street (I meant track!).

Non-vanos is '92 only. There is no real power difference between Vanos and non-Vanos M50B25 motors.
That said, the '92 was the sweeter of the M50 motors. The cams were more aggressive, so the power doesn't fall off above 6000rpm like a stock Vanos M50.
