Fuel Pump going..

Our fuel pump has gotten progressively louder, and the whine is now inconsistant. After the car has warmed up, it also takes many cranks to turn over again. I think the fuel pump is going die on us.

Is this job as easy as removing the rear bench seat and swapping the fuel pump? Is there only 1 pump or 2? Where can i get a good price on a new fuel pump around southern Ontario?

Thanks,

Depends what car you have. Some have the pump in tank only, some have it in tank and out of tank (2 pumps)

What year and model is your car and I will tell you what you have.

Should have just a single transfer pump in the tank, passenger side, under the seat and under the access panel. Depending on month of production it *MAY* have a second pump on the drivers side at the back of the rocker panel just in front of the rear wheel well.

Thanks for the fast replies!

I would assume swapping the in-tank pump is an easy job?
