Crate Gx-80 Guitar Amp Excellent Conditon

Workhorse of an amplifier boasts a solid 80 watts RMS, a heavy duty 12” Crate
Custom speaker and two totally flexible channels. Channel selection and reverb
on/off are controllable by use of a two-button footswitch. The Line In and Out jacks
allow virtually noise-free connection of your favorite effects.
Like all Crate products, your GX-80 is Musician Made in the U.S.A., using only
the best components. Extensive testing at the hands (and ears) of skilled technicians and musicians insures you that this amplifier is the absolute best it can be.
GX-80 Amplifier ENGLISH
1: 0dB Input jack accepts a standard 1/4”
phone plug and is suitable for any low to line
level input source.
2: -6dB Input jack also accepts a standard
1/4” plug but is padded 6dB for hotter inputs
such as tape decks or guitars with hot pickups.
If both jacks are used, this input is not
padded and will be equal to the 0dB input
3: Gain is used to set the level of distortion.
4: Level controls the overall volume and
should be used in conjunction with the Gain
control (#3).
5: Low adjusts the amount of low frequency
6: Shape adjusts the general tone.
Counterclockwise emphasizes midrange
frequencies and clockwise emphasizes low
and high frequencies.
7: High adjusts the amount of high frequency
tone or “presence”.
8: Overdrive Indicator LED will be lit when
the amplifier is in the Overdrive channel.
9: Channel Select Switch is used to select
Overdrive or Clean. This switch is defeated
if an external footswitch is used.

the amplifier is in the Clean channel.
11: Volume sets the overall listening level
of The Cleand Channel. This control is independent
of any setting made in Overdrive.

13: Mid adjusts the amount of midrange
frequency tone.
14: High adjusts the amount of high frequency
15: Bright Switch gives a brighter tone.

of the amp.
17: Footswitch jack is to be used with the
Channel Select/Reverb footswitch.
18: Line Out jack is used to link the GX-80
to additional amplifiers or to connect the
amp to a tape recorder. Simply run a cable
from the output of this jack to the input of
another amplifier or a tape deck. External
speakers cannot be hooked up to this jack.
19: Line In jack is used as a direct input to
the power amp. It can be used in conjunction
with the Line Out jack (#18) for an
effects loop.
20: Power Indicator LED will be lit when
the unit is turned on.
21: Power Switch turns the AC power on
and off.
