Help.....fuel Consumption

what needs to be chaged to decrease my fuel Consumption.. i got a 87' 325is witch i got few moths ago and my fuel Consumption sux i get 350km per tank and thats driving slow...i use castrol 10w40 with FRAM oil filter witch i change every 3k.. and i changed my air filter to K&N and it helped about 30km more or soo(used to get 310-320km per tank).... do i need spark plugs/wires/fuel filter???

Check balance and pressure of tires. Make sure none of your brakes are seized and dragging too much. Decrease weight in car, take some sound deadening material out. Basically, make your car easier to move forward and keep momentum. As for the engine goes, your stock engine in perfect running order is going to get the best milliage. Also, slow driving isn't always going to save you gas, neither is keeping the rpms as low as possible. Many people will put it in the lowest gear possible in an effort to save gas but are quite often depressing the gas pedal more to keep the car moving at those low rpm's.

if it was miles it would be nices but it's KM...


ppl do 550+km on a tank and i'm at 350

ill check the tire pressure.. 32psi right?. howmany KM do you do per tank?

i get around 400km before i fill up.
i can reach 500km but thats going too low.

is that 300-350 highway ? or all local? if its all local thats normal.

What doesn't your obc consumption read at? (if you have the obc)

yeah it's city and lil bit hwy.. it read anywhere form 12-12.5..
