I'm not hardcore to the point of vegetarianism.. afterall humans are omnivours... but, i still retrain from wasting food (meat), and don't buy from companies that fall under PETA's blacklists (unethical slaughter) (KFC etc.)

I think its great to donate to good causes and all, but....

a) Im broke, and in desperate need of a job, and
b) If I was going to donate, I think it would be something to help out people. I mean, saving the animals is a great thing(saving anything is a great thing) but I believe that if we start helping people, then we can help this world(trust me, with all the shit going on, we need all the help we can get).

I mean, I don't think these endangered species nor animals needing saving are going to help build houses in third world countries, or send clean water for them to drink, or even help the homelessness issues we have right here in Toronto.

Although our intentions are sometimes good, I think we are too quick to jump to everyone elses aid, yet, people in our oun country, our own cities need help.

United Way, half way houses and such organizations in our own community deserve this money first, IMO.

Thats a great point of view... i agree with you too... the difference is.. these helpless animals dont even know whats happening to them... they're being tortured/tested on for pointless reasons..

While peta's intentions may be good in theory, their ways of handling things are not. Peta can be classified as a terrorist organization and IS in many ways, I can see their HQ from the building I work in and it makes me sick.
