can i use e36 ball joint or do i have to buy new control arm?

Well i got a terrible shake in my front end and, i can down to the conclution it is the ball joints on the front of the control arm. I was told some guys have switched these out to the e36 stlye ones instede of buying a hole new control arm. Just wanted to make shour this is true, that i can do this.

i have a imamge showing which ball joint is gone.

Buy new control arms. Its not worth changing out the balljoints.

The only car that makes the least bit of economical sense to change ball joints is the IX as the Control Arms for it are really expensive.

new control arm are about $100 or more new ball joint are 20$ a pop. so its really worth it chnage the control arm. u tell me. Chalie can install them for a fair price.

i can get a set of new e36 ball joints for about 30 bucks (for both of them). control arms are about 150-300 depending on what i go for. i just need a quick fix till next summer when im fully rebuilding the body and suspention. So i would much rather change them then get a full control arm. So dose anybudy know, if i can use e36 ball joints..

I was always under the impression that e36 ball joints are shattier than the e30 ones correct me if im wrong

i dont even think E36 Balljoints will fit. E30 Ones on the left.

You are correct, and e36 ball joints won't press into a e30 CA.

come see me @ partsource. i can find u some depending on the quality u want they range any where from 18$ to 40$ a pop

because the dealership dose not sell them! if u want them u will have to buy the full control arm from the dealer. Dose partsorce/ Canadian tire carry them?? for shour!!!!!!

only part source does and when u go there tell them to source it out thru "ALTROM"
