My henna e30 mtech1 racecar

Haven't posted here in ages - decided to build an e30 racer a while ago. Its pretty much finished now (just electrical and interior tidying up) . Yeah i know the paint isn't mint and you can see the horrible debadge - but no one can see that when its blatting round the track. Has been good fun so far - handling well and very easy to drive.

Bit of a PITA getting lots of parts from the US (as I am in New Zealand) but it worked out OK.

Anyway - reasonably comprehensive mod list.

thanks for the comments

paul christians: I guess the theoretical top speed is approx 277kph - thats with Getrag 260 and 0.81 5th gear ratio at 6800 rpm with 205/55/15 tyres.

Need some serious horsepower to get one going that quick.

have no heater/blower motors due to the cage design - has to meet pretty strict front impact requirements.

So being a tarmac rally car I can't think of anything worse that the windscreen fogging up - so those "pinstripes" are an electric heater demister - same as the back windscreen - easy as to see through.
