this was on a 328is 5 speed with the below mods:

3.15 LSD, M50 Manifold , Fan Delete Mod Kit, M3 Catback, Stock Airbox Debaffle + K&N

car dynoed at 188whp with those mods so about 227 crank hp
sorry for being a n00b, but i gotta learn this stuff.

1 - what do all those numbers mean?
2 - can you explain what each of those listed mods is?

My car responds amazing to bolt-on's.. I feel sorry for you guys with modding.

aem v2 intake, dc racing headers, comptech catback and hondata #4 puts the type-s @ low 14's, high 13's with amazing driver.

congrats, you also have a smaller lighter car with more of it's weight over the drive wheels.

we all gotta start somewhere...

R/T- reaction time, your reaction time from the christmas tree (staging lights)

60'- how quick you make it from the line to the 60' mark on the 1/4 mile, helps analyse how much traction your getting off the line

330'. same as 60' times, measure of how quick you are off the line

1/8 mile, your time crossing the 1/8th mile of the track
mph- your mile per hour crossing the 1/8 mile

1000 foot mark- your time crossing 1000 feet

1/4- your final time crossing the 1/4 mile
MPH- also known as trap speed, your final mph crossing the finnish line

If you got to open it up and rip it around corners/straight line.. I'm just curious.. since you are a hater on everything but BMW.. what'd you think of the type-s??

thinair - I'm just saying.. BMW's respond really shitty to bolt-on's.. it's almost a waste of money to mod them... might as well just pimp them out with a nice skrt pkg and rims and drop.. and leave the rest.

With a set of M3 cams and proper software you'll be in the 210 RWHp range...

thats just silly. You are comparing apples and oranges here. Every car responds completely different to mods. I could do the same mods as you and see less gains, i could do the same mods to my old eclipse and maybe see more.

Anywho my car responded real well to the CAI (K&N) I noticed better reaction time/throttle response a few extra ponies and stronger harder pulls at higher speeds.

With my old eclipse i did a very similar cold air set up and got more or less the same results.

My car isn't fast, id call it quick, and with a few simple mods i could make it quicker. and after my new job, i have plans of super charging... then i will be able to call it fast.

your working with an acura a car that more or less is designed by honda to have good performance and be easily modded to gain more.

a bmw while it is geared with performance in mind. It is more then anything a luxry car, a sport luxury car, so yes it is harder to mod, but that doesnt mean you cant see good results for A BMW.

remember apples and oranges here.

aschon, the feel is very different in the RSX, but the rsx i drove wasn't on stock springs. i would guess that on stock springs it would probably handle similarly to a 325. But im not claiming to have some insane sense of feel for this, i just recently noticed the better handling in my 328 sport package over a stock 325.
