Need suggestions on new wheels for my 02 330cic

Hello folks,

I am a newbie here. Looking for suggestions on a set of new wheels for my 02 330ci convertible with sport package. The original set I got from the dealer is a set of 17" stock which has become my winter set of wheels.

Looking for this new set of wheels for summer.

Should I get 17" or 18"? I know for 17" it has to be 17x8. For 18" should it be 18x8 for all 4 wheels, or 18x8 for fronts and 18x8.5 for rears?

Don't know too much about cars so I hope to get some expert advice here.

Thanks in advance.

Well, your stock wheels should be 17x7.5 in the front and 17x8.5 in the rear. People will give different opinions, but it is said that you can go as wide as 8.5 in the front and 9 in the back with the proper offest. I think that is extreme. I would either stick with 7.5 and 8.5 or go with 8 and 9. As for wheels, it all about preference. Look around and see if you see any wheels that catch your eye. Also, keep in mind that if you see a wheel on a car that looks good, be careful because alot of wheels look good on cars if the car is dropped, but it doesn't look good if you keep it stock height.

If your looking for a clean look, I would suggest a set of CSL wheels or BMW M3 EVO wheels. I believe the OE for both is 19 inches but you can get replicas in 18 inches. This is just my opinion, there are alot of great wheels, but I prefer to keep a car like your CiC as clean and OE looking as possible. I have a 01 330 and I'm probably gonna go with the EVOs if I can afford it by the spring.

Yeah, i'd say go OEM if you can. M3 CSL wheels look hot on e46's, worth considering. About sizes, (im not sure), you can fit 19's on a e46, but i dont think you can without spacers, fender rolling, etc.

post some picccccs

If I can fit 17x8.5 with 245's on my dinky e30 I think he can fit a bit bigger on a e46.

The higest you can go is 20, not 19. Also, consider the fact that you have a coupe, you will have more clearance at the rear, so more aggressive rims(offset) can fit on your car.

go 19s or go home =). CSLs reps are bang for the buck, so go shop around.
