no, 96+'s are facelifted, have bigger engines (m52 instead of m50) have different trannies (zf over getrag)

its not that they're so much better as they are different

(except MY one 328. its better than everyone elses car in the world. trust me i checked)

hmmm

no i thought the other guy on here was saying that the 95 and before are hard to import cause you have to change the whole front suspension if you buy it in the u.s as i will be

Yes, the suspension on the 95 is different, and will not pass Canadian insurance BS, so they make you put on 96+ suspension, which raises the car about 1/2". It's absolute BS, but that is the law. Avoide the hassle, and go with a 96+. This ONLY applies to the M3 ... the other e36s are all fine (92-99).

btw, the 95 M3 also has the ZF tranny

The "red tape" is non existant for a 96+ (I just brought mine in 2 weeks ago). I also got a 95 last year, so I know all about the suspension changes. FOrtunately, my 95 is a track car, so I didn't bother getting it street legal in Canada.
