d. come to terms with the fact that you won't get these money back. (i could be wrong, maybe e30 might actually start going up in price as a true classic car)

Otherwise sell it and buy something newer.
Or keep it as a winter beater and save the dough.

Well my situation is like this...

I want to keep the car, maybe even as a winter beater AFTER I can AFFORD the car I want to buy.
I'm not looking to do this thing completely up (ie. M3 engine swap, major body work/paint etc etc etc). I just want it clean and nice looking.

Right now, I'm thinking right of just fixing the very minimal spots of rust and get a paintjob (same color). Then, drop it a little bit and put some rims on it.
The only concern I have is how the side and rear will look without any sort of body kit, because it doesn't look so great with that black stripe on the bottom. I have a Euro Front Lip going on the front, though.

Since it is a 90, it has plastic bumpers. All you need is is front and sideskirts (that gray one posted is cool). Perhaps color match the black strips on the bumper and molding?

As long as you're certain that car is worth painting it (I mean no rust and not too much mechanical headache), go ahead and put some nice rims on it (like 16") with decent tires, put an LSD in the rear, ssk and you're set.

So how much are we talking about here ? Under $5K may be, if you are too generous?

PS: I meant $5K for budget for the mods.

I don't know how that would look with molding on the bottom the same colour.

Under 5k to spend on it? Or to sell? Definitely under for modding, ya.

If you really want to go really nice, clean and different then go full mtech 2 (no spoiler), best kit for 4 doors ($0.02); no tint; alpina 18" (yes, 18").

Those are the real Alpina 18" that's for 5x120, so ... yes, you do need the conversion.
