Question E30 owners/lovers...need your opinons.

Ok, here's the deal.
I have a 1990 Titanium Silver on Grey Leather 325i (4 door).
It's been slowly getting fixed, minor parts here and there, but is completely stock!

I'm thinking of doing a few mods to make it look nice but I don't know if it's worth it. It will need a paintjob simply because of very minor rust on the body and minor scratches, things I CANNOT live with on a car if I'm going to consider it my toy.

Talk me into doing it up, or out of it. I just want to put a nice bodykit on it, not Rieger or anything totally out there, something simple, HID's, springs and some nice rims. What do you guys suggest? Remember, it's silver and 4 door.

no more mtech II cars PLEASE !

-get the breyton body kit but use the mtech II upper bumper for the front with the breyton lower valance..

-dump the biatch on some GC's..

-get some hamann hm4's (mini cooper fitment,17") or hamann pg4's (mini cooper fitment,18").. or some big wide ass rims, maybe brock b1's..

-shave door moldings..

-paint alpine white or charcoal grey/steel grey..

-make sure to black out all the chrome..

That's too much work! Won't be doing any shaving or changing of colour.

Breyton and all those body kits seem to be too out there! I want something simple. In fact, I was looking to just throw on a Euro Front Bumper Trim and then something similar for the sides and rear.
As for rims, the Hamann's I do like a lot, especially the HM4's

i personally think about it this way:

it only makes sense to even start dumping money in e30 if
a. the base is good (the shell has minimal amount of rust, dings, scratches)
b. you are prepared to dump at least 8-10k and lots of time into the car (replace all the tired components, motor swap, suspension, wheels, possibly paintjob) and make it a REAL GOOD toy
c. you love the car and can see yourself still driving it 5-10years from now
d. come to terms with the fact that you won't get these money back. (i could be wrong, maybe e30 might actually start going up in price as a true classic car)

Otherwise sell it and buy something newer.
Or keep it as a winter beater and save the dough.

Alex
