Can anyone hook me up with a DRIVEWAY for my crib?
Hey guys,
I have a parking spot in teh back of my house, there's like an alley that goes there.
But I want one at the front of my house too, cause this is annoying this way... I have to open/close the gate everytime, etc.
However, there's a by-law that says that if I have a driveway at the back I can't have one at the front, so I can't just apply and get one.
My neighbors have a garage in the back AND a parking spot at the front, I'm guessing because the by law was not there then when they did it.
On the application it specifically asks if you have a driveway at the back or not.
So, is there any way around this?
Thanks.

If you put grass on the driveway in the back technically its no longer a drive way.

No, it's not like that, you're not allowed to have access there at all.
The opening can't be more than 2.6 meteres wide (mine is more than 2.6 meters wide).
So I'm just wondeing how it would work... if say I put that I DON'T have access there, would they come to my house and check? Would they make me get a 3rd party to inspect it? Or would they just use the OLDDD drawings that they have on file? Becuase if it's the last one, I know that back before my house was built (house is about 7 years old?) there WAS a wall so there was no access to it form the lane...

you whine waaaaaaaay too much. wait a month, buy some 2X4's, and a sixpack, call me over, we'll buiild a fence in back, call the parking inspector over (in our area, his name is TONY ALMEDA [no joke!!])
he'll give you a permit for the front. bingo.
then if you want to be an evil russian (which you are) we can take down the fence we put in back
