I had my license suspended twice for forgeting to pay speeding tickets and they would not reinstate my license immediately. If you get pulled over in those few days, you'll get fined... but I couldn't afford not to drive so I drove like my grandmother for a few days until all was clear.

The first time it happened to me, I had honestly not recieved notice in the mail... A cop followed me from my gym to my friends house before putting the cherries on. He was the one that told me my license was suspended. He was a nice guy and believed that I hadn't gotten it in the mail... I said I didn't want to leave my car at my friend's house so he followed me to my house and watched me park my car.

Then he sat there and complimented my car for 5min... bastard!

Moral of story: don't forget to do something about a ticket

I just got a speeding ticket on friday. 28 over which is like $135 fine. He was a cool guy though. Told me to take it to court and he'll knock it down, probably to something not worth any points.

he said something to me which was really interesting...He said that the information from the radar guy is downloaded into their computers and he couldnt adjust/change the speed that he clocked me at, which is when he said to see him at the court house.

Any truth to that?

Could be true..... i doubt that works with RADARs but it might be true with the laser gun's. They get new technology pretty frequently, so i can see how thats possible!

And lets see

GAMITE and Dave, you guys are some punk bitches!
Unfortunately, i don't live in toronto, i live in the caledon area, we don't have public transportation here.

So i guess i'm be using this as transportation!

when i get a ticket i just pay it online, you go to the site, the url is on the ticket, and enter the ticket number and pay with visa or w/e and boom your done and you dont need to drive to a court office and it's online so you can do it right now !!!!!!!! lol good luck man.

Okay I've been in this situation a few times.

JustinE36 you are wrong, this can not and will not effect you insurance in any way. This is the ONLY way a suspension does not effect, call any insurance company and ask for yourself.

Second of all, DO NOT send in your license, you will be left without an ID and it's unneccessary. Goto the court house, pay your fine, wait 1-5 business days.. then pay your 150$ to reinstate at the ministry.
