IE strut bar cannot fit! heeelp

Hi

Just got a IE strut bar and it's too short it seams.
What is the trick to unflex the towers to get them closer to each other? I tried jacking the car up (regularly) to no avail

Help!

Alex

Well order the longer IE bar.

They sell them in 2 different lengths for a reason.

on there site it says you have to measure between the towers as they have found there were two different measurements..

Try getting sideways and hitting a tree/pole/another car. It tends to do the trick i think.

seriously guys stop bashing me

the IE bar was from a (private party) guy with 100% feedback. He was also selling the IE special (reinforced) rear sway bar mounts that looked just like the ones on the IE website.

So i am pretty sure he's legit.

I guess noone can help me with my prob

ok, one more time:

from what i heard IE makes two bars, they have 1" difference in length

i am experiencing a 1/4'' difference - getting the other one will make it 3/4'' too long

make sense?

thats a good point jer

both fenders have regular (non dot-r stickers on them), so i guess front end is fine
there is a bit of a gap on the rear bumper, but i am sure it was just a scratch.
