Which Shops - Turbo Install

Guys,

Which would be the 3 top shops for installing a turbo on an e36 in the GTA?

(no, I haven't bought one yet - just planning ahead)

j&R motorsports. S.E.M motorsports, or just by a kit and install it urself. or make a custom kit and install it urself. which to me is the best idea. bceause u build a kit for ur car and u will know the in's and out's of it.

I dunno.. I decided to buy a complete kit with all the pipes pre-bent, all the hardware, etc. to install on an e36 so I could install it myself and learn. I figured it'd be good experience for a newbie like myself.

I'm looking at buying the TSI Extreme PLUS Turbo Kit... I'm not mechanically inclined enough to build a kit yet...

What kit did you buy Justin?

I bought a knockoff of the AA kit. It uses the same manifold, piping, lines, etc. The kit is actually quite similar to the TSI kit, and uses some TSI parts too.. (i.e. TSI blow off valve). It has the same fuel management upgrade as the TSI kit too: Apexi S-AFC II computer, 42lb larger injectors, high-flow fuel pump, etc. I'm selling it soon though, as I need funds... (looks like my bmw project has been cut short due to financial probs).

Be careful importing it too... I got killed on shipping fee's and border charges. Wish I bought my kit with today's exchange rate though. Everything is still bubble wrapped up and unopened too... brand spankin new kit ready to install.

^ I've thought about it. But to be honest, I'd rather get a something I can do myself on my own.. (perhaps with a bit of guidance when needed), and that is already tuned and comes with software for a stock 325. This is also my daily driver, and winter beater. Reliability is important to me. If you know what you're doing and have done this before, sure you can make a reliable kit... for me, who has never done anything FI before, I really don't want to experiment on my daily car.

The TSI Extreme Kit Geoff is getting a lot of members on other forums have had a lot of positive luck with on their e36's. It comes out to around $5100 CAD shipped to your door (w/ conversion, shipping, and brokerage) without the fuel upgrade. (which is another $700 USD.)

Brokerage on my kit was almost $800 alone. I'll probably be selling my kit (still brand new) along with the fuel upgrade and everything for around that price... and it's already here in TO, no shipping hassles.

The sucky part is that this is the last part of my e36 project.. and now I can't afford to go through with it.
