Rim and tire size

I have a 95 M3 and I would like to put some aftermarket wheels on it, but I dont know what size I should run without running into problems, like top speed and off the line? Any Ideas?

I would think a nice set of 17" OZ's or BBS are a nice Clean touch and shouldnt effect the car too much. But Some of the guys like Miguel and Jay (Mystical) would know more. I love some of there rims on the M3's and any Bmw really. Just my 0.02 Cents
