Are photo blocking licence plate covers legal in ontario?

The spray im nearly 100% sure im going to get (GB anyone?)
(for those who dont know, its a glossy finish spray that prevents pictures of your car being taken with a flash-- such as red light cameras)

But are the ones that distort your licence plate if viewed on an angle legal? Somehow i doubt it

Just get a Hide-a-plate. It's expensive but at the flip of a switch your lisence plate is tinted 5%.

There are no speeding camera's in Ontario. And all redlight camera intersections are marked with signs prior to you approaching the intersection, use your head and judge the timing of the light. The only good reason something like this would come in handy is on the ETR.

Was the frame hiding the sticker in the corner?

It doesnt matter. According to the highway act, there cant be anything infront of your plate. Making ANY frame illegal.
Same goes for the headlights, eyelids are illegal

That's true. I was thinking that already, but just curious if the officer was just being picky, or if there was something a little more to it.
