M52 Availability and Prices

Hey guys,

Well it's long term goal, but I'm going to need more power.

I am leaning to purchasing a used M52, rebuilding and adding a turbo. Now I could just do this to my M50, but I figure that the added torque on the M52 may help combat turbo lag slightly.

I have two questions:
1. Where should I be looking to purchase an M52 somewhere between Oshawa and London?
2. What's the going rate for M52s these days?

Thanks!

Dunno, if it's any help to you but I thought I'd post it anyway.

Good luck with your search!

Thanks!

There was one M52 on there and I found one other on ebay.com

The perfect situation would be to find someone locally who's swapping to an ///M engine and see their 2.8 running before it's pulled. (Where what I when you did this Furious )

Luke,

Milage won't matter too much, as I plan to rebuild the engine I buy... But obviously the less wear and tear the less work to be done while rebuilding...

It's vanos... problem is I want to use a 2nd engine because I can rebuild it while still driving my car... I have since decided to use a non-vanos M50 engine with the new TSI Turbo...
