e30s and exhaust
I was wondering what the differences are in e30s over the years
if I put an e30 m3 motor in an 84 325e would an 87 + exhaust fit on it?
anyways thanks and sorry for my randomness

Wait, you want to swap in an S14 and it's the exhaust you're worried about?
Man, that's the last thing you need to be concerned with.

S14 and S38 are two of the most involved swaps, aside from newer motors (S54).
M50/S50 motors are the common swaps into E30's.
And as Jay said, exhaust should be your LAST priority.

There's just no damn reason to. A warmed over M20 would have better power (not peak, under the curve) and cost thousands less to keep up.
That, plus the fact a 2.5 M20 would drop in without too much work.
