Some 2002 Questions

In the next couple I weeks I plan on bringing Heidi (My '72 Inka 2002) to work and start stripping parts/paint/etc.

Now... the questions! My speedometer works, but the odometer only seems to work every 50 miles or so... started this about a week before I took the car off the road for the winter. Now... is there a rebuild kit available, or, does anyone have a metric speedo they'd like to sell?

Headlights- Low beams usually don't work. I haven't had the chance to do any probing yet... but are there any common problems here? Someone suggested swapping the relay with one from an E30, but they looked totally different, as did the wiring.

Wipers- the motor is toast... anyone have a used one for sale? Also, I need the driver's side wiper arm.

Doors- the car had a body job in '86, and whoever did the work was a butcher... the doors are like an inch thick at the bottom. Are lower doorskins available? or does anyone have any unmolested doors they'd like to sell? Minor rust isn't a problem, I'm working at a Porsche restoration shop.

Seats/Seat fabric- I can't move the headrests. Am I missing something REALLY obvious?

Fuel Gauge- Just stopped working all of the sudden. Again, haven't had the chance to test anything yet. or even make sure the wire is still on the sending unit.

Seat fabric(Well, okay, vinyl) - looks like the houndstooth pattern in my '74 Beetle. Is it available anywhere?

I think that's about it... I should have the car on the Rotohoist by mid jan... it's going to be an all metal restoration, basically because I love this little car, and don't want to have to re-do it again in 5 years, I plan on keeping it for the rest of my life... and I'm 22, so hopefully it'll be a while! She looks good, but there is definitely some bondo in there.

Thanks for any help, and Merry Christmas!

Aaron

Hey, thanks for the numbers. I forgot about those guys on Steeles, I've always had good luck with them for obscure parts for my E30s and '78 530i.

Your car looks pretty cool... I'm going to keep mine basically stock, aside from the stereo, and maybe some reupholstered 320i seats.. not entirely sure yet.

Anyhow, here are some recent pics of her... enjoy!

(That's also my 2002 in my profile pic coming out of a corner at about 130 km/h)

I'll definitely be at some shows/cruises in the new year!

That Silver e28 is Sia's Alpina B7 Turbo. That beast is awesome.
Here are more pictures of his car...go through the various sections.
