DAMN Go Transit Parking Lot

So got to Clarkson Go Station today, only to see some of the stuff from my trunk on the ground behind my car. So, press the alarm, it works, open my door, and my seats are pulled forward. Look in the back, no amp, no subs... luckily this was my winter car, but I still had a nice system. "Had" being the key word. I usually take the deck face with me to work, so i have that left. So just to fellow commuters, watch your cars. I know that King Lui parks on the same side that park on, so please watch out for your cars. This is a nice Christmas present for me.... I would like to find the guys and but that is likely to happen.

Go transit parking lots statistically have the most vehicle break-in's, and stolen vehicles in all of Canada. For this reason, I drive 20 minutes further, spend an additional 40 minutes on the TTC subway which is always late, and crowded, and walk an additional 5 minutes to work.

Go station parking lots are dead during the day when everyone's at work, literally no one there. The place is your playground... even if a car alarm goes off, no one will notice.

By the way, here is the GO Transit petition to increase security, you can also read about 100+ of other people who have had their vehicles broken into at GO Parking lots: http://www.petitionspot.com/petition...tneedssecurity

BTW, parking lot with the second most vehicle break-in's is Yorkdale Shopping Centre.

I stay away from Go for that reason... Honestly at TTC station in Kipling, I see abunch of modded cars like the WRX and a bunch of Bimmers, like the e90 and e46. I even saw a Boxter there once. Theres lots of visibility and people coming from all corners into the lot. I'd rather drive to the subway if I were you from now on man.....That really sucks that it happened but you live and learn I suppose..

damn...that sucks man...you won't see me parking there by the end of the week. i'm finished my co-op on friday. i always do the double lock thing with my car, so even if they smash the window, they still can't open the door without the key. and i also put in the code for the ignition. so they can't start the car without the code.

Ditto. I've parked at both Kipling and Islington station for over 3 years, the most that has happened was my emblems + stem-caps stolen by some punk kid. Lots of modded vehicles, not much damage. There is a member on this forum who had his M3 side skirt stolen at Kipling st. once though... other than that, I don't hear about much happening. Kipling's East Lot is a lot quieter, if anything will happen... that is where.

Ya I've been driving from Brampton to Islington subway and it's more or less the SAME amount of time had I taken the GO in from Brampton to Yonge and Bloor.

GO-Transit parking lot security is non existant.
Main reason why I didn't buy a BMW 3 series for daily duties.

It wasn't my BMW that got broken into, it was my winter car which is an accord. I don't think that I will be putting anything of any value in the car any more.

what i do is i put a code in the obc that when you go to start the car you need to put in the code. with the locks, i turn the key 90degrees to the locking side and take the key out...(if your power door locks work) this will only let the door open with the key. so if someone smashes the window and tries to unlock the door or open it from the inside it won't unlock or open any of the doors.
