aahhahah to be honest my area is not the safest but i always took safety for granted...i got 'too comfy' i guess, which is NOT fair because this is our home...we shouldnt ever have to lose that 'comfort' zone

as for security, you got it rahul, my dad plans to install a few cheap cameras come summertime We've already got an alarm system inside our home...with a separate phone line and everything so i don't think we have a problem there...the garage however is not protected ....yet

Just because you do it, doesn't mean you're being very smart. I lived in a house in an upscale area (just off Columbia and Westmount) and my housemate had his whole stereo console ripped out of his car right in the ****ing driveway at night and we weren't home very long (slept maybe from 2 am to 7 am). His car was locked and everything. It was a 1st gen Acura Integra coupe, huge windows, I bet they just pulled them back and stuck in a hook.

Kitchener is the last place I'd feel safe. Any small city in fact. All there is to do in small cities for locals is do drugs. So there are a lot of tweaked out losers running around stealing shit to get a fix.

there's probably icicles stuck to the bottom of your garage door... and when you try to close it.. the sensors detect them... and it re-opens..

that happened to me before, so many times.. took me a while to figure out.

Trust in God but lock your car... I don't understand why people think because they're in some area they are safe. Yes, if you're in a drug infested neighborhood and you leave your house and car door open, you're asking for it. But if someone wants to get a serious score they're not going to the ghetto, they're coming into your rich ass neighborhood.

Sucks to hear dude. Now is the time to takeextra steps to make your house safer and harder to get in for theives. Christmas time is a great year for burglers.

I once had my $2000 mountain bike stolen out of my friends garage when it was open for only a few minutes... I found the guy riding my bike when a light turned red for me when I was out driving to look for my bike. He was at a plaza near the intersection that I was at, and I ran across traffic like no tomorrow and gave chase to the guy and beat the shit out of him with my dad and the losers friend watching me knock him out. It was hilarious!
