We just finished one and its great do to the lower weight over the front axle it handles awsome.

Some specs:

No OBD1 it has SDS engine management.

The old motor an S52 b32 was making 250whp with the same managemet, untill the customer blew it up running to lean.

Why the LOL Jorden?

Jorden

How much hp you got at the wheels with your heavy cast block?

And what mods?

we used SDS because the customer is planning to boost the motor in the future.

lol, I like your style.

Flame the guy with the old motor.

Can SDS fully utilize the double vanos?

I'm currently putting a S54 w/ SMG into a e30 M3 Touring. (no typos there)

Oh, and to answer your half serious/half flaming question.

My engine last put down on the dyno: 170rwhp and 176rwtq.

I've since done a shit ton of work, including a brand new heavily ported head, reshaped/smoothed chambers, and long tube headers with catless midpipes straight back.

I need to retune my engine management, and get on the dyno again. I'm realisticly expecting in the range of 190+ rwhp/rwtq

Yeah.. I was talking hp/tq at the wheels.

My last dyno was 170rwhp/176rwtq. That is 206hp/213tq at the crank.

I have an appointment for dyno tuning early next year, so I will have new dynos soon.

I will be happy to see 190rwhp/195rwtq which is pretty realistic for my mods. Thats roughly 230hp/236tq at the crank.

Yes with the sds and our tuning, only 1 cat instead of the 2 that originally came on the car we made more then the advertised flywheel hp at the wheels.

What colour was the E30 at the meet? Grey? 4 door? then that was the swap I did.

Jorden, we actually disconnected the Vanos to make those #'s. When the vanos was connected we lost hp over 5000 Rpm.

We are going to install the S52 cams and see what the hp gains will be. (Yes they can fit in a Double vanos head, but with out using the vanos, been there done that)

And My questions were serious, I don't like Flaming anyone..
