Anyone with bel air (insuarence)
Hey guys, any of you with Bel Air?
I got a sick quote from them... 270 a month for liability and theft for a 240sx with me as the primary driver (18 with speeding ticket), while others were quoting me like 650 a month.
They seem kind of weird though, like I had a problem at the last step of the online signup and none of their reps could help me (I called 3 diff ones) and basically told me put down fake info (cause real info didn't work). All the reps were really nice though.
Now I submitted it and they're gonna verify it and call me tomorrow.... hopefully all will go well and I'll get the policy for the rate they quoted me for, ****ers better not change it.
Is anyone here with them? How are they? Any of you had to go through a claim? Were they good ?

Don't use their online system to get a quote, call them. When I was shopping for insurance for my first car I was also all happy and I called them to buy it and it turned out to be the same or more than anyone else.

Something sounds fishy there, no insurance company varies by THAT much. They're all usually in the same ballpark, with some exceptions but the exceptions are usually stupid high not stupid low.

I'm with Aviva right now, and hate them so much I want to switch. Every year the rates go through the roof- worse is my bikes. When I had the scooter, the first year, it was $250 a year full coverage, then, one renewal later, no accidents, tickets or claims, it went to friggin $790. When asked why, they said that scooters were getting stolen (total utter bullshit, who would seriously risk jailtime to steal a $1000 scooter when a $15g sportbike is parked right next to it and just as easy to steal- it's as stupid as making counterfeit pennies). I told them to go 3rd party only and the premium only went down to $500.
When I got my new bike (Yamaha Virago 250), same story, $975 full, and $600 thrid party. Oh, and the bike costs $4500 new.

I can't be very very wrong because that is my experience so it's at least true for one person. But I'll concede that I may be just wrong. insurancehotline.com gave my best results.

I work for them. They give cheap rates because they are a direct insurer. Top quality, no worries about service or if you have to claim.
