Omg 2007 Rav4!

I just read the specs in today's Wheels...2007 Toyota RAV4, they jammed the Lexus IS350/Toyota Avalon's smokin' 3.5L V6 in there

269hp
246lb-ft torque

DAMN! 0-60 in 6.7 seconds!! Awesome fuel economy too, 11L/100kms city, and 7.8L/100kms hwy

IS350 has 306hp, so not, its not the same engine.

P.S. I think it looks ugly, well not ugly but nothing worth posting about and looking at.

It's the same engine. It's of Toyota's "GR" engine family.

It comes in different outputs and sizes. 1GR (4.0L), 2GR (3.5L), 3GR (3.0L), 4GR (2.5L)

The Lexus is the same 2GR 3.5L as the RAV and Avalon. Just with direct injection which boosts the output.

Well they do still use the same block?

For E36's 320, 325, and M3's used the same ending blocks, all M50 engines, although the M was an S50 engine, which is just a M50 with work!

The question is, Is it the same ENGINE???

Even thought its based on the same block, BLOCK is still different.

Toyota makes bullet proof cars... The Rav4, although not the most manly in it's appearance, is still a nice car. A friend has one and I'll tell you, I'd rather own that then an X3....
