Heater Problem?
My heat comes on okay when driving, however when I stop at a traffic
light, or coasting, it just blows cold air. The heat only comes out when
the engine is under load. Any thoughts? Thermostat? (replaced 2 years
ago) or ??
Thanks,
Ken

Were does the temp gauge stay @ when up to temp. 12 o clock?
If lower then 12 o clockT-stat is shot again.
A coolant flush wouldn't hurt either, part of maintenance every 2 years.

Try to bleed it..
With the car at running temperature, turn on the hot heat in auxillary key position, unscrew the bleeder screw, open the rad cap, and start pouring water in,.. bubble should come out of the bleeder hole.
or you can do this with the car running and attache a hose to the rad cap and force all the air out..

Most likely your water valve.
Also verify your thermostat is not seized.

Jeff, The gauge is right in the middle where it should be. I may try the flush as well and see what happens. Thanks for the input. Ken
