Thumbs up which car help me decide

Lexus IS 300 or BMW 325i

-someone bought my audi so blah.....

I'm heading to university pretty soon so I need a reliable car going back and forth

I like the bimmer more also, but I've heard from many people that 3 series are having a lot of maintainence trouble because "even their small engines are so sophisticated" I don't know what you guys are experiencing but the japanese engine does last a long time without problems

so what do you think?

which audi is that in your sig? the a6?
if so, why would you sell it? My gf's father has an audi a6, and i'd drop everything to own it. It's probably the nicest car i've ever riden in. (but then again his is the full blown luxury model with every bell and whistle since he owns MapArt the map making company in competition with perly's =)

!

HAHA! When i was purchasing my second bimmer, those were my exact 2 choices. All it took was for me to go to the lexus dealership once and say "no" to it. Comparing the bmw ot the lexus was hard, because both have their goods/bads. What i didnt like about the is300 compared to the bmw is that it just looked cheap to me. Don't get me wrong, i like those cars, alot but i just liked the small detail that bmw shown alot more. That's a tough choice though, but i had my small reasons i guess.

That's the new A4, which really looks like a shrinked A6.

-I sold it because my mom's b/f car lease ended and I just got mine a month ago

he liked it so he bought it off me

I wouldn't drop everything to own an A6 either, ///M5 currently holds the "Master Of The Universe -saloon" title from Motor Trend

i'd go for the IS300.it's around $46,000, whcih is less than the 330, but dunno bout the 325. And i heard the manual is pretty good. and the usual low maintenace in any Lexus.

The is300 WAS $900 less than the bimmer 325. That's why its a hard choice. but wasnt hard for long. haha.

i had the same problem before i got my car ... i test drive both and i think the is300 interior is kind of cool but is cheap compare to the 325i. but the is300 feels faster then then the 325i ... i think it really is faster ... i would get the is300 over the 325i ... u should go test drive both yourself ... and try the 330 too hehe ... i think u will have no problem deciding after trying it hehe

Just my opinion... I'd go with the 325. I know that the Lexus is a good car but everytime i see one, it just looks like a riced out Civic to me.

I'm really biast against IS300's (auto) because one beat me by 1/2 a car!

If it were an IS300 and a 330, I'd definately go 330. But the Lex has better acc than a 325 (sorry bliss) But the bimmer looks more solid.

Yeah, I suggest test driving both of them and deciding on which you like more.

Personally I like the looks of the Bimmer more, the IS300 looks kinda chinky now. it was nice when it came out, but nowadays, its just boring.

Ever seen soheilm3's sig over at the DTM board? it's so funny

Seriously, I was also considering the IS when I was in the car market 1.5yrs ago. I even put deposit on a white IS. After I visited the BMW dealer and test drove a 328i, I took the IS deposit back...
