I gotta add my 2 cents...
I just moved back to Canada after living for 3 years in the UK. I was with Vodafone there, 10p (25 cents) per minute, billed by the second. A way better deal, considering every call is a local call. As well, with PAYG, they would let you carry over any minutes you paid for indefinitely.
Back here in Canada, I got a Rogers pay-as-u-go. I have to admit, I got better service in the UK (unbelievable, I know!), both reception and customer service, than I have receive here...and the minimum payment of $20 per month for Rogers minutes that expire 30 days after you bought them is BULLS***T!!
I now only use it when I'm away from home for any length of time...Aaaargh!

Rogers Corporate Plans Rock.
I prefer GSM (Rogers/Fido) over CDMA (Bell/Telus).
If you get alot of incoming calls.
Check out this plan from Fido.
Unlimited Incoming Calls package - $25 per month
Unlimited incoming local calls
Unlimited incoming instant, picture and text messages
1,000 evening and weekend minutes
Weekdays, from 7 p.m. to 8 a.m.
and from Friday 7 p.m. to Monday 8 a.m.
100 weekday minutes
Weekdays, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Minute Tracker - Keep track of your airtime usage with this cost management feature (no fee, available upon request)
We are talkin about plans right......coverage may be a different debate.

actually, its the techonology and service developed in south east asian countries are far far better(japan/korea).
Few years ago, when I visited korea and things that amazed me was that every freaking single person in the subway were using phone for one thing or others. Like paying the freaking subway fare with the phone(phone works as a creditcard and whatever) They had a scanner and you just scan the phone. or people watching TVs in the phone, some were even watching a porno. Wireless or net service, its far more advanced then north america or europe. God how I miss the great fast internet service in korea.
I wonder Why we dont get that kind of services in here. Its not like we dont have money for it.

I saw that plan and it looks very interesting, I will pay the extra $5 for the extended evenings 5PM to 8AM
What amazes me the most about this plan and I still have to confirm with the head office,is that the free incoming calls can be received from anyone any where in the world. The sales rep told me this and I would be impressed if it's true. I don't travel a whole lot these days so once the local coverage is hald decent, I will be happy.

Update! The free incoming calls on the FiDo plan does is not restricted to local areas only, so you can receive calls from anywhere in the world free. The only condition is that you have to be in the city you live in to get the incoming calls free.

just another reason why i hate telus, my plan is 40 bucks, add 5 for caller ID, 10 for unlimted txt, 7 for licence and network, thats over 60 bucks, plus any long distance @ .25 cents a min, billed by the min, add ur taxes and any minutes gone over during the week @ .25 cents per min its easy to rack a nasty bill with these ****ers

Wow, does this plan still exist or are you a big senior staff at Rogers?
Some older plans are no longer available, the suckers keep making "better plans" for themselves that is.

Im a huge Telus fan, Fido sucked, reception was horrible, rogers customer service is terrible so I assume the same for fido now which wasnt great to begin with, and everyone I know who was ever with Bell got fuuucked on their bills constantly and basically robbed/jerked around for money.
Telus is a bit pricy I guess, but it doesnt seem so when u realize how worth it, it is for the best reception & customer service.
BTW Talk 2 Talk Plans are the bomb in my opinion.

Yeha that sounds like a dope plan never heard anything like that, especially in recent years.
