why not buy a deck with Aux in so you just need a cable + a $30 pocketdock to get line out?
http://www.sendstation.com/us/produc...ineout-fw.html

for example... $500 gets you a HK Traffic Pro w/ aux in. + a pocketdock...
so for $500, you get navigation, brilliant sound, OEM looks and iPod playability.

...but whatever... if you are happy with your crapasonic, phony, Crapion or whatever deck so be it.

On this audio topic, my AirPlay adapter is coming for my Shuffle, but I also have a Sony 10 CD in the trunk, and the remote just sits in the tray behind the ashtray. I'm trying to think of a way to mount it on the panel at the back of that compartment; unfortunately it doesn't open up or I could screw it in. Maybe some kind of bracket, a couple of clips it could nestle in . . .

Why dont you just keep an itrip? They are pretty good quality, except when the go crackily, but for the most part i thought they were pretty good. The lack of sound quality is made up by the fact you have 10000 songs to choose from... I personally like my jvc mp3 player deck. Does the trick for me.
