My Baby finally goes in for her paint job.
Well my E30 is going into Tip Top for a full paint job and repairs from the last break in.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to stick with the Silver colour but what do you guys think about the black side molding.
Do you think I should have it painted silver or stick with black.. ?? ..
Thanks for the input!

BAD idea!!! So much time AND MONEY went in that car, that it will be CRAZY to sell it! Unless you want to loose $1000's....

Rob!
Phil is right, to much time and money invested. It is not worth it at all, I'd rather just keep it, get it beautiful and enter it in dark knights next summer.

Re: Car & Moldings
I say DON"T paint the moldings or the door handles. To much of the same color doesn't look as nice on the e30's (In My Opinion). You need the "black" moldings to "split up" the side of the car.
You also could paint your moldings, and if you don't like it just buy some nice new black ones.
And NO, DO NOT sell your car. I am in the same boat as you, and i know that you will lose tons of $$$$ by selling it.
Good luck, and post some pics after the car has been painted!

Hmm, I'll consider what you say about not painting the moldings silver. Do you have a larger picture of your vehicle with the same colour of moldings? If so, would you mind posting it?
Thx..

Re: Silver Moldings
My door moldings are "black/chrome". My car has most of the original paint, and i would NEVER paint the moldings the same color as the car. Too much of the same color is NO good, that's probably why i am not a fan of the "Rieger" side moldings, i just find that the car is missing something (black moldings) when you look at it on the side.
If you have the window blackout around your windows, i say keep your moldings black.
