thats wierd.. with my 325is's first motor.. I could hit 120 km in 2nd.

You must of had a different rear end. It's not possible for the 3.73 to hit 120 kph in 2nd.

im quite sure it was stock.. I dont see the previous owner changing it..

It was a dumb thing to do..
and then It came to car shit talking with this 4th gen.. and im like yah ive popped 120 in second.. and my other buddy was like no way.,,. so i took him for a ride around the block and did it,.

on a gertrag 260 the 2nd gear ratio is 2.20:1

With a 3.73 gear and a 6500 RPM redline, your top speed will be 44.79mp/hr or 71km/hr assuming an overall 19inch wheel/tire diameter.

FYI, a Z3 (or any BMW) is not a drag racing hole-shot car. Tom did not hook up, but he started catching up before J ran out of gearing.

Go and drive your imaginary 120 kph in second.

doesn't make that much of a difference... only about 17 km/hr more or a top speed of 88 km/h. In order to hit 120km/h in 2nd based on those gearings you would have to rev your engine to 9100 RPM. Not many e30s that I know of can do that.
