e30 325is....

im goin too look at this e30 325is today, i wanna buy a daily/winter car.... the guy said it has 200 000km+...he also said it has around 160-170hp... is there anything i should look for this car b4 buying it?? he said it has only rust on the front fender...oh btw it's a 1987,,,thanx

i test drove this 325is and i loved it and goin 2 buy it but got one Question.. the gas paddle feels hard, why???

Because e30's (much like all enthusiest BMW's) actually have a throttle cable attached to the throttle body, and the back side of the accelerator pedal.

None of that fly by wire crap like your 330Ci for example.

... and some of them have a rusted through floor so your brakes are AKA fred flintstone style

i haven't picked it up il'll post pic tomorrow, i hope i got i for 2300 he did lot of things to it.. i loved it.. howmuch was urs??? post pics// it has few rust but then again it's almost 20 yeasrs old

I paid 1000 for it. 89 325IS alpine white, auto, leather, heated, power everything...

I had to do front control arms and tie rods, brakes, and a couple of other routine maintenance stuff. The car runs beautifully and I got a set of winter tires with rims for it too.

nice.... auto?? this car told me that all the 325is come in 5 spd...wih about 170hp...hows the rust, post some pics

it has rust on the typical spots... the rear trunk lid, the hood, the front windshield surround and on the sunroof. Underneath though its rust free and clean.

It also has the OE elipsoids and the IS plastic bumper and trunk lip.

Yes, they came in both auto and manual. (look at realoem.com) I don't think that the guy you spoke with knew what he was talking about.

The car also has a newly rebuilt transmission, timing belt and head gasket.
