Whalen Shift Machine Brand New! Custom

I recently just bought a whalen shift knob and it was shipped to me yesterday. I took it out of the box and put it on my UUC EVO3 and ran it once through the gears. Dont know if I like it that much to be honest. It looks like it should be in a museum because it is machined so well and looks amazing although I liked the ergonomics of my stock shifter better beleive it or not.

The custom part of it is the shaft of the shifter. Normally, most models have 2 black rings on the shaft but Doug Whalen made mine without the rings. The shifter is polished like a mirror.

Like I said, it is brand new (I got it yesterday at the post office)... this thing sells for 130 U.S plus duties and shipping... I paid about 175 Canadian when it got to my door. Now I can refund it since it carries a 60 day guarantee although I will sell it for 130 Canadian right now and for go my efforts of shipping it back.

If anyone is interested.... lemme know. Some members on the board have this. ask them.

Thanks www.whalenshiftmachine.com

Wow.. I have this same shift knob on my car and also Tom's and Bruce. All I can say is it's way better than my stock M3 shift knob since it sinks to the shifter lever and it's also pretty heavy. Btw, 130 is cheap! I payed almost $200 back then

Good luck on your sale

Jeff

Thanks Jeff
Guess you got hit by the exchange back then

Perhaps I am not used to the feel although I thought I will be able to adapt easily... guess not.

np... I really didn't like the tall shift knob that came with my car. After 5 minutes on driving the whalen i'm hooked You might want to post this on the z3 forum too, since it's popular with the z peeps http://www.bmwroadster.ca/phpBB2/

awesome price, I've only heard good things about the whalen... apparently the weight of it helps drop into gears much smoother too.

Bump for a sweet deal and nice shift knob. I picked one up off Bimmerforums about a month and a half ago, and I am just drooling at it until I get my car back out for spring! By the way, bump for a great seller! Gavin is a great guy to deal with.
